Sunset trip

Sunset trip is available during the summer months either in the evening (5-7:30pm) or upon request early morning.
We need a minimum of 4 persons to run the sunset trip and the cost of it is at 50€ per person.
It takes place near the stunning national park of Samaria, in south west Chania region. Upon request we might been able to run the trip in other locations as well closer to Rethymon, Heraklion or in eastern Crete (Agios Nikolaos, Chersonissos, Malia, Ierapetra etc). Get in touch with us if you want to paddle in other location than the Ilingas beach where our kayak base is located.

Tour description.

We are able to run the sunset trip every day assuming there is a minimum of 4 participants from our kayak base in Ilingas beach, next to Chora Sfakion.
Please check this Google map link how to get there and to also estimate how much driving it needs from your location.

We start at 5 pm and finish around 7:30-pm during the summer months (June to mid September). There is some flexibility on the starting time and upon request can be arranged even in the mornings only if we don’t have any day trip booked that date. This is usually the case in months with less day light. The group should be on the beach 10 minutes earlier. It is possible to run the trip during the winter months too upon request.

After basic kayaking instruction, we will start paddling towards Sweet water beach (Glyka Nera). There are no roads thus no other way to reach that beach apart from a sea kayak and a boat of course. There will be enough time to visit a sea cave and snorkel in the crystal clear water of the beach. Snorkel equipment is included in the price. The trip due to its short distance is suitable for anyone including participants without any experience in a sea kayak, ideal for families too.
