Important Notes on Summer Availability
July and August are extremely windy months in Crete.
Due to strong offshore (katabatic) winds, multi-day expeditions are available only for experienced paddlers apart from the Two days Samaria trip and the 4 days South Chania which are both take place in a sheltered area from the northern winds.
To join during July–August on the other multt day trips you must:
- Be confident paddling in force 5 winds
- Have strong rescue & bracing skills
- Be comfortable in challenging coastal conditions
