Luggage and storage

Pack your trip essentials in multiple small dry bags (10–15L) and place them in a suitcase or rucksack.
You can leave the larger bag at a hotel near our base.
If you need an extra dry bag please get in touch.

Arrival and departure

We will meet at our base on Ilingas Beach at 10:00 AM.
There is plenty of secure (and free) parking if you are traveling by car.
You should arrive in Chania or Heraklion the day before. The closest airport with a bus connection is Chania.
During the summer months, there is a daily bus arriving just before 10:00 AM in Chora Sfakion, a village just 2 minutes away by car.
If you don’t have a car, you can call us and we’ll be happy to pick you up.
On the last day of the trip, we will return to Ilingas Beach in the early evening (4pm).
That will give you enough time to catch the bus back to Chania (departure around 7:00 PM), or you can overnight nearby and depart the next morning.

Accomondation and food

There are several tavernas in Agia Roumeli (the village where we will overnight) where you can have dinner.
We can also stop for lunch during the paddle at a taverna, or you can pack your own lunch if you prefer.
All you need are some snacks for the day and, of course, water.
There’s no need to carry more than 3 litres of water, as we’ll be able to refill during the day if necessary.
