🕉️ Daily Yoga Practice

Morning and early-evening yoga sessions are offered daily. The warm Cretan climate helps make poses more accessible and enjoyable. Julie and Stelios work closely together to ensure the yoga and kayaking schedules are fully complementary and weather-aware.

Enjoy-Crete provides a basic yoga kit, including a mat, belts, blocks, bricks, and a blanket.

“As both a kayaker and yogi, I am delighted to return to Crete again in 2026 to co-host this special retreat.”

🛶 Sea Kayaking with Stelios & Enjoy-Crete

Meet Stelios – our sea kayaking guide

Stelios has been coaching and guiding in Crete for over 14 years, trained by world-renowned instructors. Between yoga sessions, participants can enjoy coached sea kayaking, guided paddling trips in the Sfakia region, group splitting based on skill level, deep-water rescue practice, as well as optional hiking and snorkeling.

Experienced paddlers may take part in advanced techniques, longer crossings, rolling and rescue practice, and exploration of Crete’s dramatic southern coastline.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get to the meeting point?

From Chania city or Chania airport, check the KTEL bus schedules for the route Chania → Chora Sfakion. We will meet you at Chora Sfakion (final stop) and continue together by ferry (approx. 1.5 hours) to Agia Roumeli.

Alternatively, we recommend Nikos’ taxi service, based in Chora Sfakion (search on Google). A rental car is not required, as Agia Roumeli has no road access and lies within Samaria National Park.

I am an experienced paddler — can I paddle independently?

Yes, provided you have reliable self-rescue skills, such as rolling or assisted recovery. Safety standards apply to all participants.

Is food included?

Yes. Daily breakfast and one group dinner on the final day are included. All other meals are optional and at your own discretion.

Can I hike the Samaria Gorge?

Absolutely. The Samaria Gorge entrance is approximately 10 minutes’ walk from our accommodation in Agia Roumeli.

What kayaks are available?

Enjoy-Crete uses custom-built composite sea kayaks designed and built by Stelios (see 3kymia.gr). These kayaks are fast, stable, and beginner-friendly. We also offer tandem kayaks, Nigel Dennis and/or Valley Sea Kayaks, and carbon paddles.
